LFR Levine-Fricke
ranged from 210 mg/l in the sample collected from monitoring well MW-1 to 463 mg/1
in MW-3. Analytical results for specific conductance for site monitoring wells ranged
from 1,060 micromhos per centimeter (,umhos/cm; MW-1) to 1,740 ,umhos/em (MW-
3). Concentrations of nitrate detected in groundwater samples ranged from 0.90 mg/l
in monitoring well MW-4 to 4.6 mg/I in monitoring well MW-2. Concentrations of
sulfate in the groundwater samples ranged from 147 mg/l in the sample collected from
MW-2 to 279 mg/l in the sample collected from MW-3. Concentrations of total
organic carbon (TOC) detected in groundwater samples ranged from c 1.0 mg/l in
monitoring well MW-1 to 2.3 mg/l in monitoring well MW-3.
4.3 Quality Control
One duplicate groundwater sample collected from MW-1 on August 4, 2003 (labeled
as DUP-01) was submitted to the laboratory as part of standard field quality
assurance/quality control procedures. Analytical results for the duplicate groundwater
sample revealed that reported concentrations were consistent with analytical results for
the primary groundwater sample collected from MW-1. The relative percent difference
of analytical results for the samples was within the accepted criterion of 40 percent.
5.0 SUMMARY OF 2003 ANNUAL RESULTS
5.1 Groundwater Elevations and Gradient
Figures 3, 4, and 5 illustrate the groundwater elevation contours for the second
through fourth quarters of 2003, respectively. Groundwater elevations and flow
gradient directions varied seasonally, but consistently displayed a generally flat water
table with a horizontal hydraulic gradient of 0.001 ft/ft toward the northwest.
5.2 Analytical Results
Groundwater samples collected from monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-5 during
the second through fourth quarters of 2003 were analyzed for parameters required by
the RWQCB. Table 2 provides a summary of the analytical results and the laboratory
analytical reports are presented in Appendix B.
VOCs
VOCs were not detected above laboratory reporting limits in samples collected from
wells MW-1 through MW-5 during the second through fourth quarters of 2003.
Page 6 TTFS QMR Q4-03.FINAL:JEE
