Calibration Checks <br /> *Perform Calibration Checks every 10 analysis. <br /> Analyze an acid washed blank. <br /> - Analyze a low standard (near detection limit). <br /> - Analyze a mid standard (near action level). <br /> - Anaiyze a high standard ( >50% above action level). <br /> - Analyze a performance standard (a sampie other than <br /> your mid standard). <br /> - Analyze a sample duplicate. <br /> *1f results are greater than 50% of the known concentration, <br /> then some type of correction must be taken (ie. reanalyze <br /> samples, perform operations checks, check probe, etc.) <br /> Detection Limit Study <br /> Analyze a sample near your action level seven times. <br /> Calculate the standard deviation (SD). <br /> Your method detection limit (mdl) is three times your <br /> SD. <br /> MDL = 3(SD) <br />
