Environmental Health
Hi Kasey -
Here are the plots of data from the aethalometer at Vernalis School. Note that the
vertical axis of concentrations is only 0 - 10 micrograms, in contrast to the 0 - 50
scale for the tire fire monitoring site plots. Thus, there is a bit more 'noise' on this
data. There are clear indications of the impact of*some* kind of smoke at the
Vernalis location. Look at the charts for early on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and
Monday mornings. Probably some of this reflects the overnight temperature
inversion - but there wasn't any smoke on early Sunday morning 1.
I will continue to process the files as you send them, and will also put the charts up
on the Web pages at http://www.mageesci.com/Tracy
Note- when sending data files, please change the FIRST LETTER of the 'Tire Fire'
files *from* BCxxxxxx.csv *to* TCxxoaxx.csv -
and change the first letter of the Vernalis data files to VCxxxxx c.csv.
This will make sure that I never confuse the two sets of files, if they all come in on
the same day.
Thanks
Tony Hansen
