Section 261.5 - Special requirements for hazardous waste generated by conditionally exempt small quantity generators Appendix L Table 2 -Prevalent Trace Gases from Class III Municipal Solid Waste Landfills Inspection Guidance for Solid Waste Landfills The purpose of this document is to provide guidance to Local Enforcement Agencies (LEAs) regarding procedures for conducting inspections of solid waste landfills. The applicable statutes and regulations, excluding closure requirements, of the Public Resources Code (PRC) and Title 14, California Code of Regulations for solid waste disposal sites, listed on the Solid Waste Information System(SWIS) inspection report form for Disposal Sites, are bolded, italicized, and included in their entirety. Guidance for use follows immediately below each statute and regulation. Requirements of other agencies which are referenced either in State Minimum Standards (SMS) or in the guidance are included as appendices. For ease in completion of the SWIS inspection report form for Disposal Sites, the applicable statutes and regulations are listed in the order in which they are found on the current SWIS inspection report form(Revised April 1994). Thus, the regulations and guidance regarding tires and the State regulations adopted to implement Subtitle D are presented in the sequence to be found on the revised SWIS form. LEAs should also refer to other guidance as applicable to inspections, including the acceptance of only specific types of waste at solid waste landfills (e.g., wood waste landfills).
