BEFORE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF SAN JOAQUIN <br /> STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> .4 1 1 <br /> R-98- <br /> RESOLUTION CONFIRMING EXISTENCE OF A LOCAL EMERGENCY <br /> WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 1786 of the County of San Joaquin empowers the Director of <br /> Emergency Services to proclaim the existence or threatened existence of a local emergency when <br /> said county, is affected or likely to be affected by a public calamity and the Board of Supervisors is <br /> not in session, subject to ratification by the Board of Supervisors within seven days; and <br /> WHEREAS, conditions of extreme peril to the safety of persons and property have arisen <br /> within this county, caused by tire fire, commencing on or about 4:29 p.m. on the 7th day of <br /> August, 1998, at which time the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Joaquin was not in <br /> session; and <br /> WHEREAS, said Board of Supervisors does hereby find that the aforesaid conditions of <br /> extreme peril did warrant and necessitate the proclamation of the existence of a local emergency; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, the Director of Emergency Services of the County of San Joaquin did <br /> proclaim the existence of a local emergency within said county on the 8th day of August, 1998; <br /> NOW,THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY PROCLAIMED AND ORDERED that said local <br /> emergency shall be deemed to continue to exist until its termination is proclaimed by the Board of <br /> Supervisors of the County of San Joaquin, State of California. <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED this day of AUG 1 ' 1998 19 , by the <br /> following vote of the Board of Supervisors, to wit: <br /> AYES: : ,JAS.
