RIDDLE
June 24 , 1994
Page 3
Your clients will agree to do what should have been done
as early as 1990 , and agree to take over all
responsibility for the remediation and clean-up, and
further to reimburse Roek Brothers for the expenses that
they have incurred.
Again, I should apologize for the fact that I have not
been responsive in the last few weeks due to a murder in
my family and being in trial. That is a pretty consuming
combination of events. However, you have had full
disclosure from our side. You have had four and one-half
(4 1/2) years to take responsibility for the clean-up and
failed and refused to do so. I am hopeful that we can
resolve many if not all of the issues between our clients .
However, please keep in mind that the lack of activity
over this long period has cost my client substantial time,
consternation, and money. The June 6, 1994 letter which
you refer to in your letter sums up the fact that your
clients , even though a responsible party "have not yet
initiated, participated, or completed any site work. " We
have provided you all of the work that we have done; we
will meet to review that with you. We trust that you will
go forward with the remediation of the site when our
meeting is complete.
Very truly yours,
RICHARD M.
