Lillian Navone, as a previous owner and operator of a retail gas station at this site, has <br /> been named an additional responsible parry. All consequent property owners have been named as additional <br /> responsible parties also. Of the additional responsible parties named, only Lillian Navone and Harold and <br /> Dena Knowles ever operated a gas station at the site. PHS/EHD has been informed that the other listed <br /> property owners did not use or operate the tanks. The tanks were removed in 1978 and 1988. <br /> Due to the age and history of the site, it is impossible to determine exactly when an unauthorized release <br /> may have occurred from the tanks, but it can be assummed that a release occurred while the tanks were in <br /> use. <br /> The"Notice of Reimbursement"Lillian Navone received from PHS/EHD was official notification of her being <br /> listed as an additional responsible parry. All listed responsible parties will receive,on a quarterly basis from <br /> the State Water Resources Control Board, a copy of the bill for the cost of the oversight associated with the <br /> cleanup of the site.
