Please provide this data to PHS/EHD. Figure 4 ,
Groundwater Summary Map , June 23, 2000, in the October 2000 report shows
different groundwater elevations than those reported in Table 1, Groundwater
Monitoring Data, Groundwater Elevation data for June 21, 2000 in the November
2000 report. Please clarify if depth to water measurements were collected on
both dates. If so, please determine and report the flow direction for both dates.
Otherwise, please correct and verify the information.
Groundwater flow at neighboring sites (101 and 102 Wilson Way) has been to
the east and northeast. PHSIEHD recommends you work with the responsible
parties from these sites to confirm the direction(s) of groundwater flow.
Collection of groundwater monitoring data for all three sites on the same date
may be helpful.
Sampling of the monitoring wells without purging and showing stability of the
water that is being sampled has not been approved for this site. PHSIEHD has
previously informed ARCO on other sites in this county that no purge sampling
will only be approved on sites that have sampling data from purge sampling and
it has been demonstrated that the sample results from no purge sampling are
similar. PHSIEHD directs you to purge the wells at this site and show the water
has stabilized prior to collecting groundwater samples for analysis. After four
quarters of purge sampling has been completed, the no purge data can be
compared to the purge data to decide if no purge sampling is acceptable for this
site.
A Division of San Joaquin County Health Care Services
