All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as"MAJOR"pose an immediate threat to public health <br /> and must be corrected immediately or be subject to closure pursuant to California Code of Regulations(Title 22)section 65545. <br /> #4 Safety Equipment MAJOR <br /> OBSERVATIONS:The safety rope tied to the safety ring was tightly wrapped around the safety ring. Keep and maintain <br /> safety rope loosely secured with safety ring to be freely thrown in case of an emergency. Corrected on site. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Safety equipment shall be provided, maintained, readily visible, and available for use.Pools shall have at <br /> minimum one 12 foot fixed-length rescue pole with a permanently attached body hook and one 17-inch life ring with an attached throw <br /> rope. Throw rope shall be of sufficient length to span the maximum width of the pool and shall be stored to prevent kinking or fouling. <br /> (CCR 65540) <br /> #10 Disinfectant Residual MAJOR <br /> OBSERVATIONS:The chlorine level is currently measured at 2.8 PPM.Adjust and maintain the chlorine level between 3- <br /> 10 PPM at all times. Spa closure until a correction can be made. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Public pools, when open or in use,shall be disinfected continuously by approved chemicals and shall maintain <br /> the following concentrations: 1.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine without cyanuric acid, 2.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free chlorine with cyanuric acid <br /> or 2.0 ppm bromine. Spas, wading pools,and spray grounds shall maintain the following concentrations:3.0 ppm to 10.0 ppm free <br /> chlorine or 4.0 ppm bromine. (CCR 65529) <br /> #12 pH Level MAJOR <br /> OBSERVATIONS:The pH is currently measured at or below 7.0.Adjust and maintain the pH between 7.2-7.8 at all times. <br /> Spa closure until a correction is made. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:Pool operator shall maintain pH between 7.2 and 7.8. (CCR 65530) <br /> #25 Spa Emergency Shut Off Switch MAJOR <br /> OBSERVATIONS:The emergency shut off switch for the sap is currently not operational. Pushed switch multiple times and <br /> the jets continued to operate. Repair or replace before operation. Spa closure until a correction can be made. <br /> CALCODE DESCRIPTION:A clearly labeled emergency shut off switch for both the spa recirculation and jet/aeration systems shall be <br /> installed adjacent to the spa pool.
