Notify the Owner's Representative, who MUST observe all tests, at least 24 hours in <br /> advance of any tests. <br /> B. The Contractor 'is responsible for all labor, material, and equipment to conduct <br /> pressure tests (air or hyrdostatic) of all product, vent and vapor recovery piping. <br /> C. FIRST TEST (Prior To Backfilling Pipe Trenches) : Do not connect piping to tanks, <br /> remote pumps or dispensers. <br /> 1. The entire piping system, i.e. , product, vent and vapor recovery (where <br /> applicable) , shall be tested in accordance with the following three step <br /> procedure. <br /> PRII,FZY PIPE: <br /> a. Step One: Install pressure application system that includes two pressure <br /> gauges (15 Psig maxinamm) . Apply 10 psig pressure to each piping system. <br /> Soap all joints using approved soap solution. Carefully observe each join <br /> for evidence of leaks. <br /> b. Step Two: Protect area around piping systems to be tested to prevent <br /> workmen, passers-by, etc. , fra entry. Install pressure application system <br /> that includes two pressure gauges (150 prig maximum) . Apply 60-75 psig <br /> pressure to each piping system, hold for 30 minutes, release pressure. <br /> C. CAMON• Be sure to disconnect at tank or suhmerged pip before applying <br /> ar- <br /> d. SECOND TEST (BEFORE BA==G AND PAVING) : AppT,TFc TO TANIZ AND PRODUCT <br /> LINES. <br /> SECONDARY COMMM1ENT PIPE: <br /> e. Step 'Three: protect area around piping systems to be tested to prevent <br /> workmen, passers-by, etc. , from entry. Install pressure application system <br /> that includes two pressure gauges (10 psig naximum) . Apply 5 psig pressure <br /> to each piping system, hold for 30 minutes, release pressure. <br /> 2. CONTRACTOR SHALL ARRANGE AND PAY FOR THE PERF0r4WCE OF A STATE CII2TIFIED <br /> PRECISION TEST (PETRO-V'I'II;, HUNTER OR NDE TECH.) OF THE ENTIRE SYSTEM PRIOR To <br /> COVERIPiG TANKS AND PRODUCT PIPING. TEST SHALT, BE CONDUCTED USING VIAMR OR <br /> PRODUCT.
