FINDINGS Ground water elevation, flow direction, and gradient were determined from field data collected on 08 February 2002,the contaminant impact to soil and ground water was quantified by the laboratory analytical data ' 31 STRATIGRAPHY Generally,brown to tan,damp to saturated,poorly graded sand,poorly graded sand with silt and silty ' sand was encountered from surface grade to approximately 20 feet bsg and at 30 feet bsg Orange to gray, damp, clay was encountered from 20 feet bsg to 25 feet bsg Lines of cross section are illustrated on Figure 2 and stratigraphzc cross sections are depicted on Figures 4 and 5 Organic vapor was not detected in the soil samples collected The PID data is included on the boring logs (Appendix A) 3 2 GROUND WATER GRADIENT AND FLOW DIRECTION At the time of the February 2002 sampling event,depths to ground water an wells MW 1,MW2 and MW3 ranged from 18 23 feet to 19 48 feet below the well heads Ground water elevations at the site ranged from 17 84 feet above MSL in well MW2 to 17 90 feet above MSL in well MW1 (Table 1) 1 ' The ground water flow direction was inferred using groundwater elevation data from the monitoring wells on-site The flow direction was inferred to be toward the northwest at a gradient of 0 0007 feet/feet Figure 3 illustrates the contoured ground water elevations as measured on 08 February 2002 ' 3 3 ANALYTICAL RESULTS OF SOIL SAMPLES A total of 5 soil samples were analyzed for TPH-g,TPH-d,BTEX,MTBE and seven fuel additives, ' no analytes were detected at or above laboratory reporting limits • ' Advanced CeoEnvironmental,Inc
