(AGE)has prepared this work plan for the installat on of three ground water monitoring wells <br /> at 707 East Yosemite Avenue, Manteca,-California(si e).,The location of the site is illustrated on <br /> -Figure-1. A site plan is illustrated on Figure 2. . <br /> The San Joaquin County Public Health Services.-•Envi onme'ntal Health Division(PHS-EHD)has <br /> directed by letter.dated 03 October 2001 that a work pan be prepared to investigate the extent of <br /> contamination in the ground water at the site.This work plan is prepared in accordance with Central <br /> Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board '(CVR QCB),guidelines for the investigation of <br /> underground storage tanks (UST) sites. <br /> This work plan=provides.a description.of the scope of work and procedures"for the installation.of <br /> three groundwater monitoring wells, and collection an analysis of soil and ground water samples. <br /> 2.0. BACKGROUND <br /> The,site is located at 707 East Yosemite Avenue, M riteca, California. The site is located in.'a . <br /> topographically.flat area at an elevation between 30 and 35 feet above mean sea level in the city of <br /> Manteca, California. Based on the most recent 7investi ation at the site the approximate 'depth to <br /> ground water at the site is 15 to 20 feet below surface ga de(bsg).The property is currently occupied <br /> by the Quicki-Kleen Car Wash; consisting of apne-stdry food mart and car wash facility. The site, <br /> buildiiigs.are located north of the fiiel dispenser islands andU8T&Presently the facility operates one <br /> split 20,000-gallon UST containing 5,000 gallons of diesel fuel,5,000 gallons of premium unleaded. . <br /> fuel and 10,000 gallons of regular unleaded fuel. µ <br /> In February 1999, three USTs were removed from thes ite.In October 1998, six soil probe borings <br /> .were advanced at the site and in January 2001, five so 1 probe,borings were advanced at the site. <br /> Background information and results of previous investigations can be,found in the AGE-prepared <br /> document preliminary Investigation and Evaluation R port,dated.19 March 2001. Soil and ground <br /> water analytical data from these investigations can be fund in Tables-1 through 4. A cross-section, , <br /> depicting the general lithology'and the approximate dis ribution of contaminants in the soil beneath <br /> the site is illustrated on Figure 3. <br /> The lateral extent of impacted soil has'beenidefined on he site.
