. r <br /> Miraquci SCI <br /> 9W <br /> 'w►s� ��l <br /> 0 W" engineers inc. <br /> September 17, 2002 <br /> Ms Zoe Haworth SEP 2 3 2002 <br /> 24550 S Brown Road ENVIRONMENT HEALTH <br /> Manteca, CA 95337 PERMIT/SERVICES <br /> SUBJECT REPORT OF QUARTERLY OPERATION & MAINTENANCE <br /> OF REMEDIATION SYSTEM, HAWORTH PROPERTY <br /> 17950 AIRPORT WAY, MANTECA, CA <br /> In reference to <br /> Frank's One Stop <br /> 2072 West Yosemite Avenue <br /> Manteca, California <br /> Dear Ms Haworth, <br /> On August 22, 2002, Aqua Science Engineers, Inc (ASE) arrived at t h e <br /> subject site to perform routine quarterly operation and maintenance <br /> (O&M) activities in relation to the domestic well remediation system <br /> operating at the site <br /> The domestic well remediation system consists of a residential air stripper <br /> followed by two 250-pound granulated activated carbon (GAC) canisters <br /> plumbed in series Groundwater is pumped from the well, through the <br /> holding tank, into the air stripper for initial treatment, then into the <br /> carbon canisters for a final polish prior to entry into the houses on the <br /> property <br /> On August 22, 2002 ASE collected two water samples as follows <br /> Sample Location Sample Id. <br /> Directly from the well, pre-treatment 17950-INF-08-22-02 <br /> After treatment by the air stripper 17950-AS-08-22-02 <br /> The samples were placed within an ice chest containing wet ice while <br /> transported to Kiff Analytical of Davis, California (ELAP# 2236) under <br /> chain of custody procedures The samples were analyzed for total <br /> petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPH-G), benzene, toluene, <br /> ethylbenzene, and xylenes (collectively known as BTEX), the five fuel <br /> oxygenates, and lead scavengers by EPA Method 8260B A copy of the <br /> - 1 - <br /> 208 W El Pintodo, Danville, Cohfomo 94526 ® 925-820-9391 ® Fax 925-837-4853 <br />
