s� <br /> • 5 . 0 DETAILS OF SECTION iI — ADDITIONAL WELL INSTALLATION <br /> TASK I- OBTAIN NECESSARY PERMITS <br /> ASE will obtain a drilling permit from the San Joaquin County PHS-EHD <br /> and an encroachment permit from the City on Manteca to allow for the <br /> installation of monitoring wells in the city street <br /> Our client and the San Joaquin County PHS-EHD will be notified of the <br /> drilling date at least 48 hours prior to all scheduled field work ASE will <br /> also notify Underground Service Alert (USA) of the project at least 4 8 <br /> hours prior to subsurface drilling to have underground utility lines <br /> marked in the site vicinity <br /> TASK 2 - DRILL TWO CPT SOIL BORINGS AT THE SITE <br /> ASE will drill two (2) soil borings at the site to approximately 120-feet b g s <br /> using a CPT One of these borings will be drilled near monitoring well <br /> MW-13, downgradient of the site (based on the groundwater flow <br /> direction in the shallow zone) and the other boring will be drilled near the <br /> ® eastern property line (the downgradient edge of the property in the 55 to <br /> 70-foot bgs zone) The location of these borings is shown on Figure 4 <br /> The purpose of these borings is to determine the lithologic conditions in <br /> these locations to properly design groundwater monitoring wells <br /> TASK 3 - DRILL TWO SOIL BORINGS AT THE SITE TO A DEPTH OF 70-FEET <br /> BGS AND INSTALL GROUNDWATER MONITORING WELLS IN <br /> THESE BORINGS TO SCREEN THE WATER BEARING ZONE 55 TO <br /> 70-FEET BGS <br /> ASE will drill two (2) soil borings at the site to approximately 70-feet bgs <br /> using a hollow-stem auger drill rig for the installation of monitoring wells <br /> screened near the 55 to 70-feet bgs depth zone One of these monitoring <br /> wells will be drilled near monitoring well MW-13 downgradient of the site <br /> (based on the groundwater flow direction in the shallow zone) to monitor <br /> the vertical extent of contamination at that location The other <br /> monitoring well will be drilled near the eastern property line (the <br /> downgradient edge of the property in the 55 to 70-foot bgs zone) to <br /> monitor the vertical extent of contamination at that location The <br /> proposed locations of these monitoring wells is shown on Figure 4 <br /> Since CPT borings will have been drilled in these locations, the bottom of <br /> the augers will be plugged with a wooden plug and no soil samples will b e <br /> Frank's One Stop Workplan — June 2000 <br /> -11- <br />
