Mr. Michael F. Brinton -2- 28 February 1985
2. Submit a technical plan detailing specific interim measures
to prevent further overland discharges to the SSJID drain and
alleviate the existing overloadings to both the plant and the
disposal fields (such as obtaining additional disposal land) .
The report should include an evaluation of the disposal
capacity of the existing and interim disposal areas , present
flow volumes, expected additional flow from buildings
under construction, and expected additional flow from
buildings proposed for construction (with an accompanying
time table for these flows coming online) .
Please submit a compliance report for item 1 by 21 March 1985,
and the technical plan by 15 April 1985.
The City should not allow further connections to the sanitary
sewer system since the treatment plant and disposal fields are
presently overloaded. Once interim measures which alleviate both
the existing problem and afford additional capacity have been
implemented or the plant expansion has been completed, further
connections could then be allowed.
If there are any questions please call Gary Reents, Area
Engineer, at (916) 324-8890.
-Por-
KENNETH D.
