r
26 March 2012
AGE-NC Project No. 08-1642
25 pounds per square inch, for 10 minutes, to allow grout to enter the sand pack interval.
Following pressurization, the upper three feet of each well was destroyed by over-drilling
using hollow stem augers. Well MW-12 was hand dug to three feet bsg, removing the
remnant Portland cement and bentonite from installation. After removal, the blank well
casing and screen were removed intact. Following casing removal, the borehole was filled
from bottom to top with Portland cement. Once all the above wells were destroyed, each
well box was removed and the surface was finished with a rapid setting concrete mixture;
the surface at well MW-6 was finished with native soil.
Ground water monitoring MW-8, MW-10 and MVV-13 were removed by over-drilling the
wells to total depths of 21 feet bsg (MW-8 and W-10) and 35 feet bsg (MW-13) with
8.5-inch diameter hollow stem augers. Following o erdriIling each well was grouted to near
surface using a Portland cement grout mixture, wel boxes were removed and the surfaces
at each location were completed with a rapid setti g concrete mixture.
On 08 March 2012, three 55-gallon drums filled with soil cuttings and debris and two
55-gallon drums filled with purged water generatec during previous monitoring events and
extruded drilling water were removed from the si a by Instrat Incorporated of Rio Vista,
California. Waste generated was hauled an disposed of at Instrat's facilities.
A non--hazardous waste manifests documentinj the waste disposal is included in
Appendix B.
If you have any questions or require further information, please contact our office at (800)
511-9300.
Sincerely,
Advanced GeoEnvfronmental, Inc.
Daniel J.
