' 04 June 1999
AGE-NC Project No 97-0351
are shown in Figure 3
' 3 2 HYDROCARBON-IMPACTED GROUND WATER
The results of laboratory analysis of ground water samples collected at the site over the last quarter
are as follows
• TPH-g and benzene were detected in the sample from ground water monitoring well MW-1
' at concentrations of 4,800 micrograms per liter (µg/1) and 420 µg/l, respectively
• Toluene, ethylbenzene and xylenes were also detected in the sample from monitoring well
' MW-1 at concentrations of 51µg/1, 100 µg/l and 280 µg/1,respectively
• TPH-d was detected in the samples from ground water monitoring wells MW-1 and MW-2
at concentrations of 1,500 µg/l and 97 µg/1, respectively The other ground water samples
' were not analyzed for TPH-d
• MTBE and ETBE were detected in the water sample from well MW-4 by EPA Method
8260M at concentrations of 15 µg/1 and 11 ug/l, respectively
' Laboratory results of samples analyzed for petroleum hydrocarbons are summarized in Table 2 and
Table 3 The laboratory reports (MAI Laboratory ID 04239 through 04244), quality assurance and
quality control (QA/QC)reports and chain-of-custody form Is included In Appendix B
4.0. SUMMARY AND CONCLUSIONS
Based upon the results of this quarterly monitoring event, AGE concludes
' • The greatest concentrations of dissolved petroleum hydrocarbons were detected In samples
collected from well MW-1, near the former western UST location Petroleum hydrocarbons
' were not detected in samples from any of the other wells on the site Fuel additives were
detected in the sample from well MW-4
• Diesel-impacted ground water was present in the southwest portion of the site It may be that
' the origin of the TPH-d was the petroleum transfer station formerly on the property west of
the site
Advanced GcoEnvironmenlal,Inc
l ,
