Gasoline constituents continue-to'be
detected in groundwater collected from monitoring wells MW-1, MW-3, and MW-4 and there appears
to be possible correlation between depth-to-groundwater and concentration ofpetroleum-Contaminants
detected in groundwater. Based on,the fate and transport model VLEACH (Version 2.2.03) submitted
to the EHD in October 2006, the highest concentration of total petroleum hydrocarbon quantified as
gasoline (TPHg) detected in groundwater will occur after twenty years at 25,122 micrograms per liter
(pg/L). Based on these observations and the lack of site investigation west/northwest of the source due
to structural and traffic limitations, the EHD directs that a corrective action plan for site remediation be
submitted by June 19, 2009, that -includes several feasible remedial technologies.. The recommended
remedial technology should be well supported by applicability to site characteristics and an analysis for
cost-effectiveness.
Please contact Vicki McCartney at (209)-468-9852 or by email at vmcearmev(rsjcelid.com, if you
have any questions regarding this letter.
Sincerely,
Victoria L.
