CAMB RIA
schools, hospitals, pre-schools, or elder care homes in the survey area Figure I shows the site
location, the 1/x-rnile radius, and the 500-foot radius survey areas
RESULTS
DWR and GeoTracker Records. Cambria reviewed the DWR's records and the GeoTracker
database for water-producing wells within a i/z-mile radius of the site GeoTracker listed two
public water wells within i/s-mile of the site Seven domestic wells and one irrigation well were
identified from the DWR's records ythin 14-mile of the site The closest well is located 'Jot
approximately 1,270 feet north, t of the subject site The DWR forms did not have enough 1'
information to locate one well or to deterrnme whether the well is inside the survey radius
On May 27, 2005, Cambria was able to verify the existence and location of four of the ten wells
documented in the Geotracker and DWR records Six of the wells identified by Geotracker and
DWR records could not be located Additionally, Cambria located four domestic wells on
Pacific Road and two domestic wells on Watson Avenue Cambria mailed four letters to the
address locations where wells documented in the Geotracker and DWR records could not be
verified and six letters to the additional well address locations discovered during Cambric's field
ivisit Cambria has received replies from three locations, leaving seven addresses that have not
responded
The wells identified during this survey are shown on Figure 1,the known details for these wells
are included in Table 1,and the completed questionnaires are presented as Appendix A
Door-to-Door Survey: Through the door-to-door survey, 35 addresses were visited and at 23
locations a person was able to answer questions about the presence or absence of wells at each
location Twelve letters were mailed to the other Iocations and Cambria has received replies
ftorn two of the locations We have not received responses from ten addresses, however, water
meters were observed at each location, suggesting that potable water is publicly supplied No
private water wells were identified through the door-to-door survey The complete door-to-door
survey information is summarized in Table 2 and the completed questionnaires are presented as
Appendix B
,surface Water Bodies The USGS topographic and CSAA street maps were reviewed to identify
surface water bodies within the survey area A field visit was conducted on May 27, 2005 to
confirm the locations of mapped surface water bodies and to determine whether any unmapped
surface water bodies exist within the survey area A small lake within the Manteca Park Golf
1660 2
