AGE-NC Project No 97-0333 <br /> Page 4 of 9 <br /> • Permitting and pre-field work activities, <br /> • Drilling and soil sample collection, <br /> • Monitonng well completion and development, <br /> • Ground water sample collection and analysis, <br /> • Report preparation <br /> 3 1 PERMITTING AND PRE-FIELD WORK ACTIVITIES <br /> Applicable site assessment permits will be obtained from the PHS-EHD In addition, an update to <br /> the health and safety plan presently on-file will be prepared in accordance with Occupational Safety <br /> and Health Guidance Manual for Hazardous Waste Site Activities (National Institute for <br /> Occupational Safety and Health Administration, U S Coast Guard and U S Environmental <br /> Protection Agency, 1985) Prior to mobilization, each proposed monitoring well location will be <br /> clearly marked and an utility clearance obtained through Underground Service Alert <br /> 32 DRILLING AND SOIL SAMPLE COLLECTION <br /> Based on soil contamination encountered beneath the former USTs and dispensers, AGE proposes <br /> advancement of ground water monitoring wells in the following locations <br /> • One ground water monitoring well located approximately 60-70 feet southwest of P-1, <br /> One ground water monitoring well located approximately 5-10 feet east of P-1, <br /> • One ground water monitoring well located approximately 10-20 feet north of P-5, <br /> • One ground water monitoring well located approximately 40-50 feet north of P-4, <br /> • One ground water monitoring well located approximately 30-40 feet northeast of P-b <br /> • One ground water monitoring well located approximately 30-40 feet southeast of P-2, and <br /> • One ground water monitoring well located approximately 40-50 feet «vest of P-4 <br /> The proposed soil boring/ground water monitoring wells shall be advanced approximately 35 feet <br /> bsg utilizing a track-mounted, hollow stem drill rig and 8-inch diameter hollow-stem augers, <br /> however,total depths of borings may vary according to hydrogeologic conditions encountered dunng <br /> drilling activities Proposed ,,Nell locations are depicted in Figure 2 <br /> 46anced GeoEnwonmental,Inc <br />
