Rain Water Car Wash - 2 - 8 June 2016
420 Yosemite Ave, Manteca
San Joaquin County
2. In the Work Plan, AGE does not specify which water bearing zones will be sampled, but
merely states that grab groundwater samples will be collected from "each targeted
zone", and that "depth of sampling will likely adhere to previous depths". Please collect
grab groundwater samples from water bearing zones A (18-50 feet bgs), B (50-65 feet
bgs), C (65-115 feet bgs), and D (115-133 feet bgs) in each of the six (6) CPT boring
locations. Please field-adjust the total depth of the borings if needed in order to properly
target the D zone. Additionally, grab groundwater samples should be collected from
permeable zones (i.e. sand zones rather than clay units) within the depth interval.
3. In order to determine if TPHg present is a result of TCE/PCE, please request that the
laboratory identify and report all peaks identified on the chromatogram for all collected
grab groundwater samples.
4. Please submit by 15 September 2016 a Summary Report with an updated Site
Conceptual Model (SCM). This report should include a summary of work performed as
well as new boring logs, cross sections parallel and perpendicular to groundwater flow
direction, and the extent of MTBE impacts in groundwater.
5. While the Summary Report and SCM was originally requested to be submitted along
with the 2Q16 Groundwater Monitoring Report (GMR), please submit the 2Q16 Semi-
Annual GMR under separate cover by 30 July 2016.
6. During the 4Q16 sampling event, please sample all CMT wells, including zones A
through F, and request that the laboratory identify and report all peaks on the
chromatogram, and include these results in the 4th quarter 2016 Semi-Annual
Groundwater Monitoring Report due 31 January 2017.
7. The groundwater analytical Electronic Data Files (EDFs) for wells MW-11A, MW-11 B,
MW-12A, MW-12B for the 15 December 2014 sampling event were uploaded to
GeoTracker with incorrect Field Point Names (FPNs). Data for MW-11A and MW-11 B
for this event were both uploaded under the FPN "MW-11", and data for MW-12A and
MW-12B for this event were uploaded under the FPN "MW-12". Please resubmit these
data under the correct FPNs and include GeoTracker upload confirmation in the report
due 15 September 2016.
You may contact the GeoTracker Help Desk for assistance at 866-480-1028, or by email at
geotracker(a)_waterboards.ca.gov, if needed.
In summary Central Valley Water Board staff expect to receive the following:
• By 30 July 2016 please submit the Second Quarter 2016 Semi Annual Groundwater
Monitoring Report
• By 15 September 2016 please submit the Summary Report and updated Site
Conceptual Model.
• By 31 January 2017 submit the Fourth Quarter 2016 Semi-Annual Groundwater
Monitoring Report
