During our review of the PR we notd that ground water contamination <br /> exists at this site. In order to documen fluctuations and possible <br /> degradation in hydrocarbon contaminant leis <br /> els at your site, we recommend that <br /> quarterly monitoring of ground water be iitiated immediately. Samples are to <br /> be collected and analyzed for benzene, touene, xylene, and ethylbenzene <br /> (BTX&E) and total petroleum hydrocarbons gasoline and diesel (TPH as G and <br /> TPH as D) . Water levels also need to be monitored quarterly to document <br /> ground water level fluctuations and to verify the gradient direction. <br /> We are preparing a detailed response to your 3 January 1989 PR which should be <br /> finalized and sent to you by the end of next week. <br /> If you have any questions, please call me at (916) 361-5725. <br /> EDWARD W.
