Spreckles Sugar wastewater ponds are <br /> p-i <br /> approximately one-half mile south of the site. Based on data <br /> obtained at other Applied GeoSystems' project sites in the area, <br /> and on conversations regarding the ground--water flow direction at <br /> � j Spreckles Sugar with <br /> 9 per-nnnel of the Regional Water Quality <br /> Control Board, Central Valley Region, the ground-water flow was <br /> inferred to be oriented to the northwes--. <br /> PROXIMITY TO WELLS AND UTI,L,ITIES <br /> Information regarding the surface locations of municipal wells <br /> was obtained from the City of Manteca Public Works Department, <br /> which is the only :rater supplier in the area. City records <br /> fo indicated that two water-supply wells are located within 2,000 <br /> feet of the site; one approximately 1,650 feet to the southwest <br /> and one approximately 2,000 feet to the northeast. The locations <br /> of these wells are shown on Plate P-1. No other <br /> private water- <br /> supply wells in the area are known to Applied GeoSyatems.
