The comment period starts on <br /> �I danragefro,n April 10, 2006 and closes on May 10, 2006. <br /> hazardous waste; Background <br /> The 1.1 acre Site operated as a printed circuit board manufacturing facility <br /> and restorin' from 1987 through 2001. The current land use in the surrounding area is <br /> cnztarnirrated = primarily commercial and industrial; however, several residential housing <br /> units are located within 1/8 mile of the Site. The Site has vacant buildings on <br /> sites for all it, but they are not in use. <br /> Californianm Proposed Interim Measure <br /> The Proposed Interim Measure is for the removal of soil with elevated levels <br /> of lead in a 10 feet by 15 feet by 5 feet deep area under the contrete slab <br /> flooring in Building 1848. The contaminated soil will be excavated and <br /> transported to a licensed landfill for disposal. The concrete flooring will be <br /> replaced after the excavated area is back filled with clean soil. DTSC is the <br /> lead regulatory agency over Site environmental activities.
