Thule Towing Systems Page 2 of 2
Stage 8 is a paint cure tank/reaction tank that the parts are dipped into and is heated to a 140 degrees;
this is the final A coat stage before the parts are baked in the cure ovens.
The waste pit is only for the pH neutralization of the waste stream from stages 214/5/7 and is set between
6.50 and 9.50; it automatically detects pH levels on a constant basis and controls chemical pumps to
bring the level into said specs. We clean the pit about every 6 weeks of any sludge accumulation which
goes into 55 gal drums for disposal. There are no filters on this waste stream because there are very
minimal solids in the waste stream.
Melissa Foland
Chemical Data Management Systems
(925) 551-7300
melissa@cdms.com
cell: 925-766-3181
7/17/2009
