Several small <br /> Oil spills were observed covered in absorbent material around the shop floor. Oil was observed accumulating in an oil <br /> drainboard bench. Facility staff stated the oil is drained into satellite accumulation containers every 1-3 days. <br /> Facilities shall be maintained and operated to minimize the possibility of a fire,explosion, or release of hazardous <br /> waste to air, sail, or surface water which could threaten human health or the environment. Immediately clean the <br /> spilled oil and absorbent around the shop and clean the oil accumulating in the secondary containment and manage <br /> according to Title 22 hazardous waste regulations. The used oil in the oil workbench must be properly managed by <br /> the end of the day. Drain the used oil from the oil workbench and submit a statement and supporting documentation <br /> explaining how this waste was managed, <br /> This is a minor violation. <br /> 443 CCR 66262.34(d)(2)Failed to keep hazardous waste containers closed except when adding or removing hazardous <br /> waste. <br /> The tank of used oil outside the ag shop was observed without a lid. All hazardous waste containers shall be closed <br /> at all times except when adding or removing waste. Immediately close these containers and ensure all hazardous <br /> waste containers are closed when not adding or removing waste. <br /> This is a minor violation.
