The initial date of waste accumulation shall be clearly marked and <br />visible for inspection on each container used for satellite accumulation of hazardous waste. Since it cannot be <br />determined how long this waste has been stored on site, immediately ensure that all satellite containers are properly <br />labeled with the accumulation start date. <br />This is a minor violation. <br /> 605 CCR 66262.34(f) Failed to completely label containers or portable tanks of hazardous waste. <br />-Two black plastic approximately 30 gallon satellite containers of used oil were observed with faded, unreadable <br />labels <br />-One blue 55-gallon steel drum of used oil filters was observed in the Hazardous Waste Storage Area labeled as <br />"Used Absorbent" and missing hazardous properties on the label <br />-One black 55-gallon steel drum of used metal filters was observed in the Hazardous Waste Storage Area missing <br />the hazardous properties on the label. This was corrected on site. <br />-One black 55-gallon steel drum of used paper filters was observed in the Hazardous Waste Storage Area missing <br />the physical properties on the label. <br />-A blue plastic 55-gallon drum containing used antifreeze was observed in the Hazardous Waste Storage Area <br />missing the hazardous properties on the label. <br />-A blue plastic 55-gallon drum containing used antifreeze was observed in the Hazardous Waste Storage Area <br />missing the label. <br />All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information: <br /> - the words “Hazardous Waste” <br /> - name and address of generator <br /> - hazardous properties <br /> - physical state <br /> - composition (contents) <br /> - accumulation start date <br />Immediately label these containers and ensure that all hazardous waste containers are marked with all the required <br />information. <br />This is a minor violation. <br />Overall Inspection Comments: <br />Complete and submit a copy of the Return to Compliance Certification form to the EHD with a statement <br />documenting the corrective actions that have been or will be taken for each violation, and any supporting <br />paperwork, by April 15th, 2019. <br />Starting September 1, 2018, all in-office CERS help will be provided at EHD hourly rate ($152).
