SDS sheets reviewed during inspection said that Clarifloc <br />Polymer is toxic with a 96 hour fish bio assay result of LC50 >100mg/L. Containers larger than five gallons that <br />previously held a hazardous material shall be marked with the date they were emptied and managed within one year <br />of being emptied. Immediately manage all empty containers per this section. <br />This was corrected on site. <br />This is a repeat violation, Class Il. <br />601 <br />CCR 66262.34(d) Stored hazardous waste onsite greater than 180 days. <br />One black and one red metal 55 gallon drums of used oil were observed with accumulation start dates of 9/28/2018. <br />Facilities who generate less than 1000 kg of hazardous waste per month and do not exceed 6000 kg of waste <br />stored on site at any time may store waste on site up to 180 days. Immediately contact a licensed hazardous waste <br />hauler to dispose of this waste under manifest and submit a copy of the manifest to the EHD. <br />This is a Class II violation. <br />605 <br />CCR 66262.34(f) Failed to completely label containers or portable tanks of hazardous waste. <br />One black and one red metal 55 gallon drums of used oil were observed in the hazardous waste storage area <br />without hazardous waste labels. All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information: <br />- the words "Hazardous Waste" <br />- name and address of generator <br />- hazardous properties <br />- physical state <br />- composition (contents) <br />- accumulation start date <br />Immediately ensure that all hazardous waste containers are marked with all the required information. <br />This was corrected on site. <br />This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br />Overall Inspection Comments: <br />Complete and submit a copy of the Return to Compliance Certification form to the EHD with a statement <br />documenting the corrective actions that have been or will be taken for each violation, and any supporting <br />paperwork, by August 30, 2019. <br />Starting September 1, 2018, all in -office CERS help will be provided at EHD hourly rate ($152).
