1 2 4 Domestic Water Well Survey, Sampling and Analysis
On November 16, 2000, Ramage Environmental published Water Well Survey Addendum, which
further identified domestic water wells in the site vicinity, and documented the results of sampling
and analysis from 12 domestic water supply wells
Ramage Environmental identified a total of 56 domestic water wells along Raylow Avenue and
' Mylnar Avenue, between East Yosemite Avenue to the south and North Street to the north
Between September 12, and November 11, 2000, Ramage Environmental collected water
samples from the 12 water supply wells located within 500 feet of the site Between June 5 and
' 26, 2002, Ramage Environmental re-sampled the four domestic water supply wells located within
200 feet of the site (Figure 3) As summarized in Table 4, concentrations of gasoline compounds
' have not been detected in the on-site water supply well or any of the domestic wells
1 2 5 Monitoring Well Installations and Cone Penetration Testing
On January 10, 2001, Ramage Environmental published Environmental Site Investigation Report,
' which documented the drilling of four on-site cone penetration test (CPT) borings and the
installation of four on-site groundwater monitoring wells On July 22, 2002, Ramage
Environmental published Status Report, Cone Penetration Testing and Quarterly Groundwater
Monitoring, which documented the drilling of three additional CPT borings The monitoring well
and CPT boring locations are shown on Figures 2 and 3
The CPT soil sample analytical results are summarized in Table 5, and the CPT discrete
groundwater sample analyses are included in Table 6 These analytical results indicate that the
' lateral and vertical extent of MTBE appears to be defined
Since the four monitoring wells were installed, they have been monitored and sampled on a
1 quarterly basis Only groundwater sampled from MW-2 has contained detectable concentrations
of TPH-as-gasoline and benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, xylenes (BTEX) compounds
' Concentrations of MTBE in MW-2, MW-3 and MW-4 have generally declined Groundwater flow
appears to be toward the north-northeast The cumulative groundwater analytical results are
summarized in Table 7, and the well construction and cumulative groundwater monitoring data are
summarized in Table 8
1
7
I
