PRC.,CEDTJRES FOR HANDLING IDENTIFIED HAZARDOUIS-1 WASTES <br />If ha--arcious or other unacceptable wastes are detected, the <br />Contractor's site personnel will immediately cordon off the dlesig-i-iatted <br />area from collector and site personnel not involved in the incident. <br />The Contractor will immediately notify the City's Deputy Director <br />rector of <br />Public Works (Street and Waste Collection Division), at 944-8341, who <br />in turn wi1.11- be responsible for assessment, directing and clean-up, <br />transport, and disposal of the wastes. The hazardous wastes will be <br />disposed of by an approved hazardous waste hauler. The incident and <br />response will be recorded in the site records. <br />If the producer of the waste is known, the producer will be <br />immediately contacted and notified of the incident and the action <br />taken. The, producer will be billed for all additional costs incurred <br />in the proper cleanup, transport and disposal of the waste. If the <br />producer of the waste is not known, the hauler will be responsible <br />for all costs. <br />Throughout the waste handling process, the.
