Assuming that the new
WMU will be operated as a Class III landfill , the following sections of
Subchapter 15 contain provisions that are related to the siting, design, and
construction of such a unit:
Waste Management. Unit Classification and Siting
2533 - Class III : Landfills for Nonhazardous Solid Waste
Construction Standards
2540 - General Construction Criteria
2541 - General Criteria for Containment Structures
2542 - Liners
2543 - Leachate Collection and Removal Systems
2545 - Subsurface Barriers
2546 - Precipitation and Drainage Controls
2547 - Seismic Design
Water Quality Monitoring for Classified-Waste Management Units
2550 - Applicability
2555 - General Ground Water Monitoring Requirements
2556 - Detection Monitoring Program
2559 - Unsaturated Zone Monitoring Program
