C L E AIR-W'�6A T E R G R O U P, I N C 1 Clearwater installed monitoring well MW-6 on September 19, 1995 This well was ' installed approximately 120 feet downgradient of MW-2 in order to assess the downgradient limits of the hydrocarbon plume At the time of the installation of MW-6, Clearwater also supervised the drilling of two vapor extraction wells, two air sparging wells and one 81-foot deep investigative soil boring This work, as well as the results of the third quarter 1995 groundwater monitoring, are described in Clearwater's "Report on Site Assessment Activities, Pilot Test, and Quarterly ' Groundwater Monitoring", dated December 15, 1995 1 3.0 FIELD ACTIVITIES All work was performed in accordance with Clearwater Field Procedures (previously ' submitted) and under the directives and guidelines established by the PHS/EHD and the Regional Water Quality Control Board All monitoring wells except MW-6 were ' gauged and sampled on November 30, 1995, MW-6 was inaccessible because of a parked vehicle. Depth to water was gauged from the survey mark at the top of each well casing Prior to sampling, all wells were purged of a minimum of three saturated well volumes Well purging information is presented in Appendix A ' Groundwater samples were collected from the monitoring wells using dedicated polyethylene bailers Well numbers and sampling information were recorded on sample labels and documented on a chain-of-custody form The samples were then placed in a chilled cooler for transport to American Environmental Network (AEN), a state DHS-certified laboratory located in Pleasant Hill, California. All groundwater ' samples were analyzed for total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHg) by EPA Method 8015 (5030/GCFID) and for benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and total xylenes (BTEX) by EPA Method 8020 1 1 1 D-101 4Q95 2 January 25, 1996
