1
-t'Y
CLEARWATER
G R O U P, I N C
1
' measurements were made relative to the top of casing on MW-1
Quarterly groundwater monitoring and sampling (Hurd quarter 1995) was conducted
t on MW-1 through MW-6 on September 27, 1995 after MW-6 had been developed.
Depth to groundwater was measured in each well to the nearest 0 01 foot using an
electric water sounder.
The wells were purged of at least three well volumes while monitoring
temperature, conductivity, and pH to ensure collection of a representative
groundwater sample. After groundwater in the wells recovered to 80% of the pre-
purged volume, a polyethylene bailer (one dedicated to each well) was used to
collect groundwater samples Field data sheets which include gauging, purging, and
' development data are included in Appendix C
Water samples were transferred to laboratory-supplied sample bottles and labeled
' with appropriate well designations Samples were documented on a chain of
custody form and placed in a cooler for shipment to AEN All groundwater samples
were analyzrd for TPHg and BTEX, and the sample from MW-2 was also analyzed
for MTBE.
i2.5 Pilot Test: of SVE and Air Sparge Wells
On November 7 and 8, 1995, Clearwater conducted a pilot test in accordance with the
' Workplan dated April 29, 1995. Two vapor extraction wells (VW-1 and VW-2) and
two air sparge wells (SW-1 and SW-2) were tested while vacuums, pressure, and
' other parameters were monitored in MW-4, MW-5, and MW-b,
1 '
Monitoring wells MW-1, MW-2, and MW-3 were not monitored_during the tests
because the screens were occluded by groundwater (water levels have (risen
approximately six feet since the three monitoring wells were installed in 1993)
Groundwater was within four feet of the top of the screened intervals in MW-4,
' MW-5, and MW-6 at the time the tests were conducted I
I
Soil VapQr Extraction Pilot„Test
I Prior,to,conducting the SVE pilot test, the following parameters,were"measured I 1!
