September 14, 2006
FOR: Mr. Mike Huggins, R.E.H.S., R.D.I., Land Use Program Supervisor
Mr. Greg Oliveira, R.E.H.S., Lead Senior
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department
304 East Weber Ave.
Stockton, CA 95202
PROTECT: Carmelo Industrial Park, CPC Navarra-Carmelo Phase 2
23833 South Chrisman Road,Tracy
Land Use Application: SA-99-103, SR0047971
SUBJECT: On-site Wastewater Management System Study Addendum
Reference is made to the Studies completed for the Carmelo Industrial Park project at the location listed
above. The Report encompassing these Studies was found to be acceptable with the conditions referenced
in the EHD Response Document, dated September 5, 2006 (See Attached).
Item 5 states that the Department is requiring an addition to the primary filter bed to accommodate the
additional effluent flow of 462 gpd anticipated from Phase 2. This brings the required primary filter bed
area to 1,900+462=2,362 s.f. The 100%replacement area must be this area, or greater. As noted in the
Report, the existing primary filter bed consists of a 300 s.f.bed, a 1,000 s.f.bed and a 600 s.f. bed, for a
total of 1,900 s.f. The 100%replacement area currently consists of a 780 s.f. bed, another 780 s.f.bed, a
246 s.f. bed and a 136 s.f. bed, for a total of 1,942 s.f of replacement/reserve area.
Item 6 asks to provide a revised site plan to EHD showing the area where the additional primary filter bed
capacity will be located, along with the 100%replacement area. The attached revised site plan shows the
additional primary filter bed area of 460 s.f. has been added to the furthest west(adjacent to the
EnviroServer) filter bed(originally 300 s.£). Additional 300 s.f of replacement area has been added
directly west of this westernmost filter bed, and 653 s.f. of replacement area has been added to an area
directly north of the existing building and west of the entrance driveway. These changes have been
"clouded"on the attached site plan for clarification. Mr. Bernie Dietz of Dietz Irrigation, who installed the
original EnviroServer and filter bed, will be securing a permit to install this additional filter bed area as
soon as possible. Remaining Items 1-4 of the EHD Document will be addressed in a future Addendum.
The total primary filter bed area will now be: 300 s.f +460 s.f. + 1,000 s.f. + 600 s.f. =2,360 s.f.
The total replacement area will now be: 653 s.f + 300 s.f. + 320 s.f. + 780 s.f. +246 s.f. + 136 s.f. =2,435 s.f.
Respectfully submitted v rRc,vf, h-

CHESNEY CONSULTING
ND. 04675
 m
on Chesney,R.E.A.
