The groundwater gradient in the uppermost aquifer shall be determined using a minimum of
three monitoring wells.
2. The groundwater in each of the monitoring wells shall be sampled and analyzed for nitrate as
NO3 by a State-Certified analytical laboratory.
3. A work plan shall be submitted to the Department for our review and approval prior to
drilling. It shall include proposed monitoring well locations, rationale for selecting the
locations, drilling method, and sampling protocol including chain-of-custody. A review fee
of$285.00 is due at time of submittal.
4. Drilling shall be done under a permit issued by the Department. A final report based upon
drilling activity and sample results shall be submitted to the Department by November 15,
2006.
5. Additional leach field capacity is required for Phase 2 build-out, as is additional replacement
area. The original filter beds were sized to handle approximately 700 gallons per day(gpd)
average daily flow (ADF). According to the report, the ADF including Phase 2 is 1,162 gpd.
The report states that the existing filter beds could handle the additional wastewater volume.
However, San Joaquin County Sewage Standards, Sections 3.2.1 and 4.1.2 state that sewage
disposal/package treatment plant systems shall be designed to receive all domestic sewage
from the property. Additionally, package treatment plants shall be designed to accommodate
r a surge flow or increase in the average daily flow.
