Hwy 99, Acampo, CA
Waste Water Treatment Plant
Inspection Date: July 7, 2010
Permit I.D.: PT0000215
Record I.D.: PR0420602
A bi-annual inspection was conducted on July 7, 2010 at the above referenced waste
water treatment plant and the following was observed and noted:
1. The gate leading into the waste water treatment plant located at the southeast side
entrance to the facility was locked and secured upon inspection this date July 7, 2010.
Entrance was gained at the southeast gate. It was noted and observed that the south
main PG &E easement gate was not secured and the lock was open. All gates leading
to the waste water treatment plant are to remain locked to prevent unlawful entry and to
mitigate the risk of human and animal injury, or death by drowning. Only personnel
responsible for the operation and maintenance of the facility should have access.
Continue oversight to ensure that all gates are secured.
A man-hole cover was not over the main inlet tank located at the north entrance of the
waste water treatment plant. This presents a clear hazard for potential risk of injury and
potential death by drowning for staff or unauthorized person(s). The manhole cover is to
remain over the hole at all times unless staff or authorized personnel is conducting routine
operations and maintenance and is present for the oversight. The cover was corrected upon
inspection.
2. The yard area(s) were free of debris and appeared to be well maintained.
3. Weeds throughout the facility require minimal abatement. Maintain weed control on a
routine basis. Correct on a continuous basis.
1
