The Board will be focused on potential negative impacts to <br /> ground water. Mr. O'Brian said he would like to see a"preliminary report of waste discharge" <br /> ' describing the aquifer condition, quantity_atc c nalit of waste,waAr, and possible remedial <br /> measures to mitigate impacts to the aquifer. Based on information presented in this report and <br /> discussions with EHD staff, a decision will be made regarding who will be the lead agency for <br /> the project. Mr. O'Brian indicated that because of funding and staffing shortage, it is possible <br /> that they may request the County to oversee the permitting of the project. <br /> ' 1.1 Scope of Work <br /> The scope of work performed for this study essentially included the following: <br /> —conduct a permit search at EHD <br /> —estimate the likely flow generated from the site based on estimates of similar uses <br /> —examine the soil conditions at the site <br /> —examine the geologic conditions at the site <br /> —exam the ground water conditions at the site and near by area <br /> —conduct two percolation tests to determine the percolation rate of the soils <br /> —perform a nitrate loading balance based on three different scenarios <br /> —consult with EHD regarding the requirements for the proposed project <br /> The study conducted at this site was prepared in accordance with generally accepted engineering <br /> practices. No warranty is expressed or implied. The study was performed according to the <br /> requirements of Section 9-1105.2(d) of the San Joaquin County Development. This report <br /> presents the results of this study. <br /> 1 <br /> 2.0 SITE CONDITIONS AND PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT <br /> The facility is a 14-acre portion of Assessor's Parcel Number 193-270-18, located off Harlan <br /> Road in French Camp. Transportation Court is a cul-de-sac which extends approximately <br /> ' halfway into the parcel; the facility lies east of the terminus of the cul-de-sac (Plate 1). As <br /> indicated, improvements at the facility currently include a truck repair shop, a small office, a <br /> storm water pond, and an extensive parking lot. <br /> The restrooms at the facility currently contain ten toilets, four urinals, ten sinks, and one shower. <br /> Schneider National is proposing to add three showers, each with three lathes,, and two washing <br /> ' inpah <br /> nes to the site to better serve the needs of the truckers.
