C Preventing heat stress is particularly important because once someone suffers from heat stroke or heat exhaustion, that person may be predisposed to additional heat injuries. To avoid heat stress the following steps shall be taken whenever the ambiant temperature is over 80 IF: 1) Field personnel shall have a work/rest cycle of 2 hours work, 15 minutes rest. 2) The Site Safety Officer shall mandate work slowdowns as needed. IV.
