o Acquire permits from the San Joaquin Local Health Department. <br /> o Prepare a Site Safety Plan. <br /> O Drill three soil borings at the approximate locations shown on Plate P-1 to <br /> approximately 40 feet below grade or 2 to 5 feet below the bottom of the <br /> uppermost water bearing unit, which ever is deeper Borings will be drilled <br /> using 8-10 inch outer diameter hollow stem augers <br /> o Collect and classify relatively undisturbed soil samples continuously within the <br /> first soil boring drilled and every five (5) feet in the remaining two soil <br /> borings drilled. <br /> o Screen soil samples in the field using an organic vapor meter (OVM) and <br /> record all readings <br /> O Construct threemonitorin round water in h <br /> g g wells g t read pointed, 4-inch <br /> inside diameter, Schedule 40 polyvinyl chloride (PVC) casing in the borehole. <br /> o Develop and purge the wells and collect ground water samples <br /> o Analyze selected soil and ground water samples for hydrocarbons in a <br /> • laboratory certified by the State of California <br /> o Contract a licensed land surveyor to survey the location, ground surface <br /> elevation and the top of casing elevation for each well <br /> o Elevate ground water flow direction and ground water gradient beneath the <br /> site. <br /> o interpret field and laboratory data to assess the extent of soil and ground <br /> water contamination. <br /> o I Drill additional soil borings and install monitoring wells, if necessary to <br /> elevate the`extent of contanunation <br /> o Prepare a Problem Assessment Report summarizing field and laboratory <br /> procedures, local geology, hydrogeology, and water use, and present the <br /> findings, interpretations, and conclusions to the Health Department for <br /> review <br /> This work will be conducted to comply with ground water assessment guidelines of <br /> i I <br /> the SanJoaquin County Public Health Services and guidelines prepared by the Tn-Regional <br /> IIS i ; ' I � i II I 4' <br /> I' c <br /> I[ 'i <br /> I I I I it ilP <br /> Ii,i 11 rf I I i'E l i ui I <br />
