Site History
Jackpot Food Mart 1434 W Yosemite Ave Manteca,CA
Time Oil Property No 04167
A copy of SECOR's "Quarterly Monitoring Report, January - March 1995" was forwarded to the PHS/EHD
and CRWQCB on April 19, 1995
Quarterly Groundwater Monitoring Report- Second Quarter 1995
On May 23, 1995, samples were collected from each of the monitoring wells at the subject site Prior to
purging, the depth to groundwater in each well was measured by a representative of SECOR to assist in
evaluating changes in elevation, flow direction, and gradient Groundwater was encountered at 12 92
feet to 14 05 feet below ground surface
Since the previous sampling event, groundwater elevation has decreased across the site by an average
of 0 96 feet and flow direction has changed from northeast to north The change in flow direction is
consistent with that observed in previous sampling events and is most likely a result of seasonal
variation
Neither gasoline nor its constituents were detected in any of the samples collected
Because hydrocarbons have never been observed in groundwater at concentrations of concern and this
sampling event represented the fourth consecutive quarter where hydrocarbons were not in any of the
groundwater monitoring wells, Time Oil requested that the PHS/EHD consider reducing the monitoring
frequency to biannually until remediation of the site's soils has been achieved
A copy of SECOR's "Quarterly Monitoring Report, April - June 1995"was forwarded to the PHS/EHD and
CRWQCB on July 31, 1995
Quarterly Status Report - Third Quarter 1995
Groundwater Sampling Results
On October 5, 1995, samples were collected from each of the groundwater monitoring wells at the
subject site Prior to purging, the depth to groundwater in each well was measured by a representative of
SECOR to assist in evaluating changes in elevation, flow direction, and gradient Groundwater was
encountered at 16 00 feet to 17 36 feet below ground surface
Since the previous sampling event, groundwater elevation decreased across the site by an average of
3 17 feet Consistent with previous data, flow direction remained to the northeast at a rate of 0 002 ft/ft
The fall in groundwater elevation was most likely due to the lack of rainfall during the summer months
Hydrocarbons were not detected in samples collected from any of the wells
Because hydrocarbons have never been observed in groundwater at concentrations of concern and this
sampling event represented the fifth consecutive quarter where hydrocarbons were not detected in any of
the groundwater monitoring wells, Time Oil requested that the PHS/EHD reduce the required monitoring
frequency to biannually until remediation of the site's soils has been achieved
Remedial Activities
A contractor was selected for the installation of the proposed vapor extraction system SECOR was
currently obtaining permits for the installation of a natural gas line to provide supplemental fuel for the
thermal oxydizer which will be utilized to treat hydrocarbons recovered during remedial activities
5
