FService
Gasoline Tank Cavity December 10, 1990
o. 6020, Manteca, California AGS 30055-2W
ONAL GEOLOGY AND HYDROGEOU)GY
The site is underlain by alluvial fan deposits of the Great Valley, which are of Recent age.
These sediments consist of unconsolidated clay, silt, and sand (Rogers, 1966). The
topographic surface is nearly flat with a slight westward slope. Based on regional maps
prepared from 1988 groundwater data by San Joaquin County Flood Control and Water
® Conservation District, ground water near the site is approximately 25 below grade and the
regional direction of flow is to the southwest. Local groundwater characteristics could vary
from these historical maps at the time of drilling.
The site is in the Eastern San Joaquin County Ground-Water Basin (California Department
of Water Resources, 1980). The groundwater basin has been intensively developed for
irrigation, domestic, industrial, municipal, and stock use.
PROXIMITY OF WELLS AND UTILITIES
It is our understanding from City of Manteca personnel that the city provides water and
sewer service for the site. There are no city water or sewer lines Arithin the boundaries of
the site, and there are no septic tanks or leachfields near the site. We also understand there .
are no municipal, domestic, or irrigation water wells within 500 feet of the site.
6
Apc:led ee.ystems
