Work Plan to Excavate Gasoline Tank Cavity December 10, 1990 <br /> �1 ! ARCO Service Station No. 6020. Manteca, California AGS 30055-2W <br /> Numerous ground-water supply wells are farther than 500 feet from the site. Data obtained <br /> from the California Department of Water Resources concerning these wells are presented <br /> in Table 2, and the locations of the wells are depicted on Plate P-1. The majority of the <br /> wells are east of the site. Some of the wells noted are probably inactive, and other wells <br /> may exist near the site but do not appear in the r.•~ords. <br /> PROPOSED WORK <br /> The proposed work is designed to remove soil containing hydrocarbons within the safe limits <br /> of the operating equipment and surrounding structures. Excavation will be terminated <br /> before or at the water table depth. This work will be conducted in accordance with the <br /> following three regulatory do cuments:(1)Regional Board Staff Recommendations for Initial <br /> Evaluation and Investigation of Underground Tanks, Tri-Regional Recommendations <br /> (California Regional Water Quality Control Board [CRWQCB] May 1989); (2) Regional <br /> Board Staff Recommendatiors for Initial Evaluation and Investigation of Underground <br /> Tanks, Tri-Reaional Recommendations. Appendix A. Central Valley Regional Board <br /> Reporting Requirements(CRWQCB,April 1989);and(3)Leaking Underground Fuel Tank <br /> (LUFI)Field Manual:GLidelines for Site Assessment.Cleanup.and Underground Storage <br /> Tank Closute (CRWQCB. Octoaer 1989).
