4-4 17933 South Airport Way
The domestic well at the above address is constructed with 5.5-inch I.D.
steel casing. The total depth of the well is 84-feet bgs based on the initial
well inspection. The video log of the well confirmed this depth. The
video log of the well indicates that the casing ends at approximately 72-
feet bgs, with the remainder of the well being open hole to a total depth
of 83-feet bgs. Casing seams were noted at 7-feet, 27-feet, 47-feet, a n d
67-feet bgs. No slots or holes were visible in the casing. Water apparently
entered the well through the open-hole between 72 and 83-feet bgs. The
cement bond log did not show evidence of any cement from the SWL of
11.5-feet bgs to a depth of 69-feet bgs.. The pump intake was located 30-
feet bgs. Since no cement seal was present in this well, this well would be
considered a potential conduit for the downward movement of MTBE in
the site vicinity.
4.5 17866 South Airport Way (Irrigation well)_
The irrigation well at the above address is constructed with 5.75-inch I.D.
steel casing. The total depth of the well is 46-feet bgs based on the initial
well inspection performed. The video log camera could not be advanced
beyond an obstruction that was encountered at a depth 41-feet bgs. The
following was observed during the video logging of the well. Holes were
observed at 5-feet, 7-feet, and 9-feet bgs. A small hole or perforation, as
well as what appeared to be a crack in the casing, was observed at 26-feet
bgs. Seams were present at 8-feet and 28-feet bgs. Two holes and vertical
slots were observed at 30-feet. Vertical slots appeared to begin at 29-feet
bgs, and were observed at 31-feet, 34-feet, and 36-feet. The cement-bond
log for this well did not show signs of cement from the SWL of 10-feet bgs
to 26-feet bgs. However, good cement was noted from 26-feet bgs to 36-
feet bgs. This interpretation, however, would suggest that cement extends
6 to 7 feet below the top of the vertical slots. Water enters this well
through slots in the casing below 29-feet bgs. The pump intake was
located at a depth of 25-feet bgs. It is ASE's opinion that this well could
potentially be a conduit for the vertical migration of MTBE.
4.6 17966 South Airport Way (Domestic well)—
The domestic well at the above address is constructed with 6.75-inch I.D.
steel casing. The total depth of the well is 61-feet bgs based on the initial
well inspection performed. The video log camera could not be advanced
beyond an obstruction that was encountered at a depth of 44-feet bgs. A
Franks One Stop Report — February 2001
-4-
