The remedial action plan describes the proposed remedy for soil and groundwater contamination at Frank's One Stop, 2072 Yosemite Avenue in Manteca. The plan was written by the consulting firm Aqua Science Engineers and is dated August 3, 2001. The California Health and Safety Code in section 2728 (Public Participation)requires that the public shall be informed of proposed activities in corrective action plans, and that the plan be made available to the public for inspection upon request. A copy of the plan may be viewed at our offices at 304 East Weber, third floor, in Stockton. A copy has also been placed on reserve at the Manteca library, located at 320 West Center Street. The plan will be available for comment for 30 days. Please note that the plan only addresses the cleanup of soil and groundwater. It does not address the issue of providing alternate water supplies for residents whose wells have been impacted by methyl tertiary butyl ether(MtBE).
