Franks Exxon <br /> 2072 W Yosemite <br /> Page 2 <br /> An interim remediation(IR) system shall be designed, installed, operated,maintained,and optimized <br /> to control off-site migration no later than September 30, 2000. Please submit a comprehensive <br /> workplan for the design, construction, and operation of the required IR system as soon as practical to meet <br /> the September 30, 2000 deadline. The cleanup goal shall not exceed established Maximum Contaminant <br /> Levels(MCL's), more stringent cleanup goals may be required to protect beneficial uses of groundwater.A <br /> final remediation plan shall be submitted to PHS/EHD no later than Januaryl,2001. <br /> Please submit technical reports and workplans to the San Joaquin County Public Health Services <br /> Environmental Health Division (PHS/EHD), Attention: Ron Rowe. We request that all required work be <br /> performed in a prompt and timely manner under the direct supervision(witnessed) of PHS/EHD staff. We <br /> have proposed a schedule for the submittal of the next work plan. Revisions to the proposed schedule shall <br /> be requested in writing with appropriate justification for anticipated delays. <br /> PHS/EHD recommends that all site assessment and remediation related activities in which the <br /> responsible party(s) engages in and anticipates reimbursement from the Underground Storage Tank <br /> Cleanup Fund (USTCF) be reviewed and pre-approved prior to commencing work.
