and (c) this option can continue on a monthly basis at a low operating
cost, until Option I is finally emplaced.
Due to the urgent situation in respect to the affected domestic wells and
the difficulty of locating available, capable contractors in a timely
manner, ASE's proposal includes the cost of only one main subcontractor,
Aero Pure Water, to supply the infrastructure of the portable tank systems
and tank filling operations. Aero Pure has a great reputation f o r
sucessfully handling projects like this, and has assured ASE that they can
begin immediately upon authorization to proceed.
ASE's specific proposed scope of work is to:
1) Subcontract Aero Pure Water Company to provide the necessary
tanks and pumping systems to each affected residence along Airport
Way. In several cases, ASE has allowed for additional tanks for those
properties that contain multiple residences, multiple wells, or farm
animals. This proposal allows for 17 tank systems at 13 individual
addresses.
2) Subcontract a local, licensed plumber to provide the necessary
hook-up at each individual well to allow for the tank water to
replace well water.
3) Subcontract with a local, licensed electrician to provide the
necessary power for the tank systems.•
4) Obtain permission form the City of Manteca Public Works Agency to
use the hydrant located at the corner of Airport Way and W.
Yosemite Avenue to supply potable water to the Aero Pure Water
Truck on an "as needed basis."
5) On an "as needed basis," Aero Pure Water will use a 1,500 gallon
tanker truck and the City of Manteca hydrant to maintain full tanks
of potable water at each residence. The cost to fill the individual
tanks on an as needed basis will be billed on a time and materials
basis. The rate from Aero Pure Water is $100.00/hour. The City of
Manteca water fee has not been determined.
ASE will perform the scope of work outlined above on a "Time a n d
Materials" basis. A cost breakdown for installation and start-up is
attached.
Proposal #2000-152 for Potable Water Systems, Frank's One Stop Property, Manteca, CA
-3-
