22 CCR 66265.192(k)(2) Design <br /> Used Oil Tank <br /> The Used Oil Tank is constructed of double-walled steel to unknown design standards. The wall <br /> thickness of the primary tank is unknown and was not accessible for measurement. A drawing of <br /> the tank system,with dimensions, is included as Figure 1. <br /> 22 CCR 66265.192(k)(3)Age of Tank System <br /> According to the identification plate, the Used Oil Tank was manufactured by <br /> Hoover Containment Inc.in July 1997(Age: 21 years). <br /> 22 CCR 66265.192(k)(4) Leak Protection <br /> The Used Oil Tank does not have leak detection equipment in place. A leak from the primary tank <br /> would be detected visually from the secondary containment ports which are inspected daily when <br /> the tank system is in use. The tank is elevated and the exterior is visible on all sides. The tank is <br /> inspected daily when the tank is in use. <br /> 22 CCR 66265.192(k)(5) Corrosion Protection <br /> Other than exterior paint on the secondary tank,the tank does not have any corrosion protection. <br /> 22 CCR 66265.192(k)(6) Overflow Prevention <br /> The Used Oil Tank is equipped with a visual liquid level gauge that is checked prior to filling. The <br /> tank is emptied on a regular basis and normally well before tank is full. If the primary tank is <br /> overfilled, an overflow line runs from the vent pipe to a box that is equipped with a liquid sensor <br /> and visual alarm(light). <br /> Additionally, any overflows, leaks or spills during filling or emptying would be contained within <br /> a concrete bermed area surrounding the tank. The concrete bermed area should be kept <br /> clean and dry to help identify leaks. <br /> All automated systems, including liquid sensors and visual alarm are tested periodically and <br /> confirmed to operate as designed. <br /> 22 CCR 66265.192(k)(7) Secondary Containment <br /> The Used Oil Tank is double-walled with a secondary tank capable of holding the entire contents <br /> of the primary tank. <br /> The secondary containment for the tank system meets the standards of 22 CCR 66265.1920) and <br /> 22 CCR 66265.193(fl• <br /> 2 <br /> rk,.,.TRC <br /> Results you can rely on <br />
