LOCATION PROCEDURE NUMBER <br /> DTE STOCKTON, LLC EAP-01 <br /> WEStockton, LLC EMERGENCY ACTION PLAN REV: 10, updated: 3/2018 <br /> STATUS: FINAL Page 16 of 35 <br /> 10.0 Specific Emergency Procedures <br /> 10.1 Medical Emergencies <br /> If someone becomes ill or is injured and requires medical attention beyond simple <br /> first aid, the following actions should be taken: <br /> 1. Call 911 to initiate the response of trained outside medical responders. <br /> 2. Notify DTE Stockton management and the Control Room operator. <br /> 3. Designate a DTE employee to meet the outside medical responders at the <br /> gate to escort them to the location of the person needing medical attention. <br /> 4. Unless trained, do not attempt to render first aid before trained assistance <br /> has arrived. <br /> 5. Verify that the immediate area is safe and free of hazards which might <br /> affect the patient or responders. <br /> 6. Do not attempt to move a person who has fallen. <br /> 7. Comfort the victim and ensure them that medical assistance is on the way. <br /> 8. Once outside medical responders arrive, the employee providing patient <br /> care should provide the following information to the responders: <br /> (a) Initial time of the event. <br /> (b) Any care given prior to Responders' arrival. <br /> (c) Patient's condition upon Responders' arrival. <br /> (d) All treatment given to patient. <br /> (e) Any available medical information about the patient. <br /> 9. To prepare plant personnel for such emergencies, it will be plant policy <br /> that all personnel will be trained in first aid, CPR and the use of an AED <br /> (Automated External Defibrillator). An AED is located in the control <br /> room, scale house and fuel yard MCC building. <br /> 10. Bodily fluids from any injuries shall be cleaned up in accordance with the <br /> Plant's bloodborne pathogens procedure. <br /> Emergency Action Plan—DTE Stockton, LLC <br />
