LOCATION PROCEDURE NUMBER <br /> DTE STOCKTON, LLC EAP-01 <br /> DTEStockton, LLC EMERGENCY ACTION PLAN REV: 10, updated: 3/2018 <br /> STATUS: FINAL Page 19 of 35 <br /> 10.3 Severe Weather <br /> Severe weather emergencies considered in this procedure include floods, severe <br /> thunderstorms and tornadoes. DTE Stockton monitors the National Weather <br /> Service and other resources for emergency weather conditions. When <br /> information is received that a severe weather or tornado watch has been issued <br /> for the facility area, the following actions shall be taken: <br /> 1. The Plant Manager or alternate will monitor the weather and determine <br /> what risk is associated with the event. <br /> 2. Personnel shall seek indoor shelter in the control room or other reinforced <br /> structure. Personnel should remain indoors if the severe weather is <br /> affecting the immediate area of the plant until the risk is lowered to <br /> manageable levels. In case of lightning remain inside for at least 30 <br /> minutes after hearing the last sound of thunder. <br /> 3. Personnel should stay away from windows, mirrors, glass and unsecured <br /> objects such as filing cabinets and bookshelves. <br /> 4. The Plant Manager shall be contacted to aid in monitoring plant <br /> conditions. <br /> 5. The Operations Manager and control room operator will determine if <br /> equipment safety is compromised and will shut down equipment with high <br /> risk. <br /> 6. After the emergency has passed,personnel shall determine what damage <br /> and risks exist and mitigate the risks before resuming work. <br /> Emergency Action Plan—DTE Stockton, LLC <br />
