DEC 02 2016 <br /> Hurricane <br /> An ABF Freight facility that is in the likely path of a Hurricane will be notified by the Regional Vice Pre i f ` age ` I � <br /> the generI I office real estate department to begin preparing the facility to minimize damage and/or loss to thestructure, of <br /> gequipment, and freight. The following recommendations should be followed when applicable to prepare your facility: <br /> 1 . Park a trailer at every dock door possible and high profile freight on the inside of as many dock doors as <br /> possible to prevent damage to doors. <br /> ?. Park remaining trailers, if any, tightly together in the yard to prevent them from rolling over. <br /> 13. Attach and lock loose converter gears to empty trailers. <br /> 4. Move all tractors away from overhead wires and utility poles. <br /> 5. Deactivate the electric fence if applicable. <br /> 6. Any U-Pack equipment spotted for service should be collected and brought back to the terminal. <br /> IT. Eliminate power source to diesel fuel tank pumps. <br /> . Clean up any debris on the yard or apron that could become airborne in high winds. <br /> Once the order to evacuate the facility has been given, all employees should not return until notified by a company <br /> representative or if local authorities have authorized reentry to the area in which the terminal is located. <br /> Emergency Evacuation Procedure <br /> in the event of a fire or other emergency in which the order for evacuation is given, ABF Freight requires total <br /> evacuation of all employees from the workplace, unless otherwise assigned or authorized to remain as indicated in the <br /> site specific plan. Employees will use the closest accessible exit as outlined in the evacuation plan map posted at the <br /> facility and exit by foot to the designated assembly area. <br /> .Procedures for EmpIgMees That Remain <br /> Only employees designated by the site specific emergency action and fire prevention plan shall remain if necessary in the <br /> workplace when an order to evacuate is given . Employees assigned to protect company property understand that the <br /> protection of life comes first. Once the assigned duties have been completed, these employees must proceed to the <br /> assembly area for head count. <br /> Procedures to Account for Emplgj ees After Evacuating <br /> After pro I ptly exiting the building, evacuated employees must proceed to the assembly area designated on the site specific <br /> evacuation plan map. The designated Employees) in the site specific plan wilt account for all employees on duty at the <br /> time of evacuation. <br /> Procedures for Employees Performing Rescue or ftigall Outten <br /> Employees responsible for rescue or medical duties, as indicated in the site specific plan, shall notify emergency <br /> responders if immediate medical attention is necessary by dialing 911 or contacting local emergency responders. Contact <br /> information is also included in the site specific plan. <br /> Employee Training <br /> All employees designated by name or title in the site specific emergency action plan and tasked with responsibility must be <br /> trained in hat area of responsibility to assist in a safe and orderly evacuation. <br /> 3 <br /> I <br />
